2048 is a sliding number puzzle. Merge matching tiles to build bigger numbers and create the 2048 tile.
Build a tile worth 2048. The game ends when the board is full and no merges are possible, so plan ahead to avoid gridlock. You can keep going past 2048 for higher tiles.
Keep your biggest tile in one corner, bottom-right is a popular choice. Only slide in the two directions that keep it pinned (e.g. down and right) and avoid the opposite direction.
